Plot

Pocahontas and her father, chief Powhatan, live happily on a beautiful island in America. They honour Mother Nature and consider every living creature as family. One day, John Smith, an English sailor sent by his king to conquer new lands and find treasures, arrives at the island. When Pocahontas and John first meet, their differences are easily perceived. John wants to build a big city like London; Pocahontas wants to keep the island as it is. In spite of their differences, they fall in love. Meanwhile, Chief Powhatan finds out John is on the island and that he wants to steal his people’s treasures, so he captures him and keeps him as his prisoner. John is condemned to die when it is full moon. Pocahontas tries to help John by persuading her father not to kill him, but without any success. Finding herself at a crossroads, Pocahontas asks the Wise Tree for help.

What do you think the Wise Tree says? Must Pocahontas tell her father she is in love with John? Is Chief Powhatan going to forgive him? How will this story end?

Follow us in this romantic tale and find out what will happen on this unexplored island.

Soundtrack

I love the sun shining in the sky
I love the moon and the stars at night
I love the rain falling on my head
I love the wind blowing my hair
Nature is our friend

I love flowers, plants, and trees
I love birds, butterflies and bees
I love the water we need to live
I love fruit, crops and seeds.

I love Nature, I love Nature,
I love Nature, I love Nature,

I love the dog running in the house
I love the cat chasing the mouse
I love the rocks and sands on the beach
Nature is a tasty peach
Nature is our friend

I love the wolf that howls at night
I love a lion and a tiger in a fight
I love the lake, the river and the sea
Nature is you and me.

I love Nature, I love Nature,
I love Nature, I love Nature.
I love Nature, I love Nature,
I love Nature, I love Nature.
I love Nature, I love Nature,
I love Nature, I love Nature.

Hey, hey, ho,
Here I go!
Pull up the sails and boat ahoy!
Hey, hey, ho,
It is a lovely day!
The wind and sails will take me away!
A New World is waiting for me
With new plants and trees
A New World to see

Hey, hey, ho
Which way to go?
East or West, South or North
Hey, hey, ho, now I’m sailing along
With this ship nothing can go wrong
A New World is waiting for me
With new plants and trees
A New World to see

Hey, hey ho,
Here I go
I will find a land full of gold
Hey, hey ho,
Here I come
I will conquer a new land
A New World is waiting for me
With new plants and trees
A New World to see

Hey!

JOHN SMITH:

Brick by brick we build a city
With roads and streets
With houses and buildings
Brick by brick we build the walls
Of banks and shops,
Of markets and stalls
Hospitals, schools, churches and stations
Are all we need to build a nation!

POCAHONTAS:
Brick by brick
You think you are so smart?
But this is my place!
This is my land!
Brick by brick
You can build your way home
We don’t need a city!
We don’t need any walls!
Rivers, mountains, animals and trees
Are all we need to be happy and free!

JOHN SMITH:
We’ll put all the animals in a zoo

POCAHONTAS: The only animal in the zoo will be you!

JOHN SMITH: See the trees? We must chop them down.

POCAHONTAS: I can’t believe you are such a clown!

JOHN SMITH:

You are my star,
My only star
In a blue sky
Or in a dark night
I love you
Do you love me too?
My love for you
Is real and true.

POCAHONTAS:
You are my star,
My only star
You are the sun
That warms my heart
I love you,
Believe me, it’s true
I love you
Believe me I do

BOTH:
You are my star
My only star
Your world and mine
Are now one
You are my star
My only star

Your world and mine

Are now one.
