In 1862, the people of Los Angeles, California suffered under the tyranny of Commander Enrique Monasterio and his second in command, Sargeant Garcia. Monasterio imposed unfairly high taxes and used the money to build his own personal fortune. The people, with Lupita Torres as their leader, protested the outrageous taxes but were thrown in prison. The time had come for Zorro to appear. Zorro is the secret identity of Don Diego de la Vega, son of the richest landowner in California who was educated in Spain. At the father’s request, Diego and his deaf-mute servant, Bernardo come back to California to defend the people. Join them in their adventures as they free their people from its oppressors.
