According to his research, the tomb could be in any part of the Valley of the Kings.

Lord Carnarvon, a millionaire who has been funding the expedition for years, is now determined not to finance it anymore. His decision is influenced by archaeologist Davis, who also wants to find the tomb and is Carter´s enemy. Being sure he is very close to the great discovery Carter begs Carnarvon to fund the expedition for one more year. Lord Carnarvon agrees on one condition: his daughter, Evelyn, must take part in it. Howard and Evelyn start the expedition. When Davis knows about this, he and his assistant Ronnie follow them behind their backs.

After some time in the Valley of the Kings, Howard and Evelyn discover a staircase which they are sure leads to the King’s tomb. When Lord Carnarvon arrives, they all go down the stairs and finally find the tomb. Once inside, they all marvel at all the treasures and very soon they find the coffin where the mummy of the king lays. At that moment, Davis and Ronnie burst into the place and trap Howard, Evelyn and Carnarvon in order to steal all the treasure and leave them locked up inside the tomb forever. It seems to be a perfect plan for Davis, but a curse may fall on those who disturb the peace of the Pharaoh: “anyone who dares open the tomb will suffer the wrath of the mummy”.
